چکیده

Abstract Introduction Myocardial injury is defined as an elevation of troponin due to ischemic causes, with or without clinical signs. In the myocardial after noncardiac surgery (MINS), usually occurs signs ischemia. The etiology this perioperative pathology, in most cases based on a mismatch between oxigen supply and demand. Recently, expert consensus european guidelines suggest implementation diagnostic tools for perioperatory screening patients at risk MINS. Aims: evaluate course who have experienced MINS last two years our hospital, order identity lacks terapeutic tools. Methods we retrospectively evaluated 122 consecutive period from january 2021 december 2022. For each patient, collected data regarding clinical, strumental laboratoristics characteristics, such biomarkers, factors type/urgency surgery. Results more than half (54%) had low patient–related risk, whereas only 17% them high risk. Regarding surgery–related third (33.6%) related type urgency surgery, thirds (66.3%) intermediate Combining these risks, resulted that minority (5%) both patient less (42%) Instead, (68%) All pre–operative electrocardiogram. More (54,9%) transthoracic echocardiography. Large majority (95,6%) troponin. Conclusion careful assessment cross adoption common did not allow us adopt effective peri–operative

Myocardial Injury After Noncardiac Surgery (MINS) in Vascular Surgical Patients: A Prospective Observational Cohort Study.

OBJECTIVE To determine the prognostic relevance, clinical characteristics, and 30-day outcomes associated with myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS) in vascular surgical patients. BACKGROUND MINS has been independently associated with 30-day mortality after noncardiac surgery. The characteristics and prognostic importance of MINS in vascular surgery patients are poorly described. ...

Myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW Recent investigations have substantially improved our understanding of myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS). RECENT FINDINGS MINS is defined as a prognostically relevant myocardial injury due to ischemia that occurs during or within 30 days after noncardiac surgery. MINS occurs in 8% of adults undergoing major noncardiac surgery and is diagnosed with an elevated...

Detection and management of asymptomatic myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery.

Surgery and the subsequent recovery are serious circulatory stress tests that may result in symptomatic cardiac events in vulnerable patients. Despite efforts to prevent the occurrence of postoperative adverse events, myocardial infarction following noncardiac surgery remains common. Even more worrisome, the typical symptoms of myocardial ischaemia, such as chest pain, are easily masked by post...

Perioperative Myocardial Injury After Noncardiac Surgery: Incidence, Mortality, and Characterization.

BACKGROUND Perioperative myocardial injury (PMI) seems to be a contributor to mortality after noncardiac surgery. Because the vast majority of PMIs are asymptomatic, PMI usually is missed in the absence of systematic screening. METHODS We performed a prospective diagnostic study enrolling consecutive patients undergoing noncardiac surgery who had a planned postoperative stay of ≥24 hours and ...

Acute myocardial infarction after noncardiac surgery.

Over 230 million surgeries are performed annually worldwide, cardiac complications being the most common causes of postoperative morbidity and mortality. As life expectancy has extended worldwide, a growing number of patients with multiple comorbidities have undergone noncardiac surgeries. Consequently, cardiovascular complications associated with those procedures are expected to increase, and ...
